Why not give the gift of a sponsorship for a bench in Jena's city forest, where the recipient can linger and relax?

Benches in the city forest

There are two different types of bench available for sponsorship: Rustic wooden benches and concrete slatted benches. The type of bench depends on the location and cannot be changed. The benches are generally located in areas owned by the city. We do not currently show any new locations, as a large number already exist.

You can view available locations in the Jena map portal. If you click on a free location, the bench number will appear, which is also displayed on the benches.

Period and costs of a sponsorship

The period for a bench sponsorship is 10 years and costs EUR 400 per bench. You will receive a sponsorship certificate and a donation receipt from us.

During the 10 years, the municipal forest will take care of repairs, pruning and garbage removal at the bench site. After the bench sponsorship has expired, it can be extended by 5 years (EUR 200) or 10 years (EUR 400).

Would you like a dedication?

If you would like a dedication in the backrest, please enter this in the contact form.

For rustic wooden benches, the dedication is milled directly into the backrest. The Stadtwald coordinates this with the responsible joinery - the milling costs EUR 50 extra. It is also possible to attach a metal plaque.
In the case of concrete slatted benches, the client is responsible for producing the metal plaque measuring 5 x 10 cm (height x width). If the metal plaque is to be embedded in the slat, please let us know so that we can provide a recess in the slat.

Would you like to become a bank sponsor?

Then fill out the contact form completely and send it off. We will get back to you with suggestions for a specific location. If you confirm this, we will refurbish the bench within four to six weeks. Wooden parts are sanded, painted and replaced if necessary. As soon as the bench is ready, we will send you the certificate of sponsorship and the donation receipt by post.
