Bank sponsorships (forest)
A special gift for a special occasion
Why not sponsor a bench in Jena's city forest as a gift, where the recipient can linger and relax or you can commemorate a loved one.
Benches in the city forest
For bench sponsorships, slatted benches with or without a dedication are available. The benches are generally located in municipal areas. We do not currently show any new locations, as a large number already exist.
You can view available locations in the Jena map portal. If you click on a free location, the bench number will appear, which is also displayed on the benches.
Period and costs of a sponsorship
The period for a bench sponsorship is 10 years and costs EUR 400 per bench. You will receive a sponsorship certificate and a donation receipt from us.
During the 10 years, the Jena City Forestry Office will take care of repairs, pruning and garbage removal at the bench site. After the bench sponsorship has expired, it can be extended for 5 years (EUR 200) or 10 years (EUR 400).

Would you like a dedication?
Dedications can appear in the form of a metal plaque or in the form of a milling on the backrest. If you would like a dedication on the backrest, please enter this in the contact form.
In the case of metal plaques, the customer is responsible for the production. Please ensure that the dimensions are 5 x 10 cm (height x width). Please bring the finished metal plaque to the City Forestry Office and we will have it milled flush into the backrest at no extra cost.
The milling is done in a wider back board. For this we need the text (max. two lines of 5-6 words per line). The lettering is set and you can then choose between two examples. The City Forestry Office will coordinate with the responsible joinery and complete the bench. There is an additional charge of EUR 120 for the wider back board and the milling.

Would you like to become a bank sponsor?
Then fill out the contact form completely and send it off. We will contact you to arrange the specific location. Once you have confirmed this, please complete the donation receipt form, send it to the e-mail address provided and transfer the relevant amount. Once payment has been received, we will usually set up the bench within four to six weeks. Wooden parts are sanded, painted and replaced if necessary. As soon as the bench is ready, we will send you the certificate of sponsorship and the donation receipt by post.
