Here at the forum natura nature experience center, the forest becomes an adventure space: we invite children, young people and adults to consciously experience nature with educational forest activities. In accordance with the criteria of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), we combine enjoyment, knowledge and responsibility and thus encourage sustainable action.

The nature experience center is being built on the site of the former Schottplatz in the middle of Jena Forest to inspire visitors of all ages about nature, show the interplay between nature and people and provide information about hiking routes in the area.
It is also an excellent starting point for extensive hikes in natura jenensis - the nature experience region of the Middle Saale Valley. Connected by the SaaleHorizontale, you can discover the life of knights, sky ponds, dinosaurs and forest animals on four adventure trails. And you can even bring Napoleon and wild boar to life on your smartphone.
