Over the last 100 years, the Jena funeral home has developed into a modern funeral home with a comprehensive range of services. Our many years of experience guarantee good service.

Our tolerant house is open to people of all denominations as well as to people without religious affiliation.

In the bright, friendly building at Paradiesstrasse 3, our experienced staff conduct discussions and arrangements with the bereaved with sensitivity and in a personal, familiar atmosphere.

Free parking is available for visitors on the premises of the funeral home. Access is possible from Paradiesstraße 3 (opposite the Stoyschule) and from the bus station parking lot.

We have modern equipment and vehicles.

History

Im Jahre 1881 wurde die Jenaische Beerdigungsanstalt "Pietät" des Herrn Alfred Pilling gegründet. Er kombinierte damals als Tischlermeister seine eigene Sargwerkstatt mit der Dienstleistung einer Beerdigungsanstalt. Um die Jahrhundertwende übernahm Bernhard Pilling das Geschäft.

In diesem Jahr entstanden neue Geschäftsräume des Unternehmens in der Leutrastraße 19 am Eichplatz.

Heute befindet sich an dieser Stelle die "neue mitte".

Städtisches Bestattungsunternehmen

Danach ging das Bestattungsunternehmen in städtischen Besitz über, befand sich jedoch immer noch in der Leutrastraße und wurde auch im Laufe der nächsten Jahre Teil verschiedener städtischer Einrichtungen als Abteilung "Friedhofs- und Bestattungswesen".

Aufgrund der Errichtung des Universitätshochhauses und des geplanten Abrisses aller Gebäude in der Leutrastraße zog im Jahre 1971 das Unternehmen in die Straße - "Am Planetarium" 13. (Büroräume im Erdgeschoss)

Gleichzeitig erfolgte die Übernahme in den damaligen Betrieb "VEB Stadtwirtschaft Jena".
