The waste disposal fees (effective January 1, 2024) for private households consist of:

The basic fee is calculated based on the number of persons officially registered at the property (with primary or secondary residence) as of the respective reference dates of January 1 and July 1 of the current year.
The base fee includes, among other things, the disposal of:

If it can be proven that all organic waste from private households generated on the property is composted on-site year-round, a reduction in the base fee may be granted upon request. The requirements for this are that the organic waste is properly and safely processed at the point of generation or in the immediate vicinity, and that suitable areas for spreading the compost and composting facilities are available. You can obtain the application form here.
The reduction in the base fee, upon confirmation of on-site composting, takes effect on the next applicable date and is valid for a period of 5 years.
(Note: There will then be a fee for dropping off yard waste at the recycling center.)

The fee rate for the volume-based fee is based on the number of residual waste container pickups recorded by the electronic identification system and the size of the container.

For each residual waste container registered on a property, at least two collections are billed per calendar half-year in accordance with the collection requirement, provided that an insufficient number of actual collections could be recorded for that container.
