As part of the regular inspections after the winter period, significant signs of wear were found in several areas, which make it necessary to repair the road surface.
The construction work will be carried out in two phases with full road closures.
In the first construction phase (23.04. to probably 05.05.2026), the area of Löbstedter Straße up to halfway to the OBI junction will be repaired. During this period, access from Schlachthofstraße will still be possible for residents. The OBI DIY store and the KSJ will remain accessible via Am alten Gaswerk or from the direction of Imaginata.
In the second construction phase (06.05. to presumably 20.05.2026), the renovation will take place in the section from halfway between the OBI junction and the upper access road to depot I in the direction of Tauschhaus. Here, too, it will be ensured that access to the OBI DIY store and the KSJ remains guaranteed. Individual agreements will be made with directly affected residents.
Pedestrians will be able to pass through the construction site area during the entire construction period, so that the routes will basically be maintained. Bus stops will be temporarily relocated; appropriate instructions and signage on site must be observed.
Traffic restrictions are to be expected during the entire construction period. The KSJ is endeavoring to keep disruptions to a minimum and asks all those affected for their understanding of the necessary work.
