Under this guiding principle, the waste advisory service of Kommunalservice Jena is increasingly focusing on education and prevention - starting with the youngest citizens. Through guided tours, age-appropriate educational programs and practical exercises on waste separation, children learn at an early age how to avoid waste and how to correctly separate and reuse recyclable materials. The aim is to create a sustainable awareness that will remain anchored in everyday life in the long term.
In addition, a wide range of materials are available to download and print out. These support schools, daycare centers and families in integrating the topic of waste prevention into everyday life in a clear and practical way. A new feature is a clearly laid out timetable which, among other things, presents the content in a structured way and enables easy integration into lessons. This makes environmental education even easier to plan and flexible to use.
