On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the Repair Café Jena (RCJ) will once again be making a stop at the Umwelthaus at the recycling center at Löbstedter Straße 56. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., all interested parties are invited to repair defective everyday items together with experienced helpers.
Whether small electrical appliances, textiles or bicycles - many things can be repaired with a little know-how and patience. This is exactly where the Repair Café comes in: Instead of hastily disposing of functional items, people are shown how they can be preserved and reused. This saves resources, avoids waste and imparts practical knowledge at the same time.
The offer is aimed at all age groups. No previous knowledge is required. Support is provided on a voluntary basis and free of charge, donations are welcome.
For years, the Repair Café Jena has stood for sustainability and a pragmatic approach to everyday objects - without big words, but through concrete action.
