Bottle Cap Collection 2026

This year, the bottle caps are being collected to benefit the Jena Animal Shelter Association (Tierheimverein Jena e. V.). The campaign once again demonstrates how much can be achieved through collective effort. In the first half of 2026 alone, animpressive 2,470 kg of bottle capswere collected. Recycling with Added Value—KSJ continues to cover the campaign’s handling costs. The amount of each donation is transparently based on the current scrap metal rate and is calculated in a verifiable manner from the proceeds generated by recycling. At the same time, the proceeds support important projects in our region—this year, animal welfare.

Behind the success of the bottle cap campaign are many dedicated citizens, clubs, organizations, and initiatives that collect diligently and thus make an important contribution. Every single bottle cap counts: It helps ensure waste is recycled responsibly while also supporting the Jena Animal Shelter Association in its important work.
