Traffic signage

The traffic guidance system division is responsible for general traffic signage as well as roadworks and detour signs in Jena and the surrounding area. The signage provides orientation, safety and warns of dangers.

Signage

  • Maintenance, cleaning and repair of urban traffic signs (VKZ) and large-scale signage (advance direction signs)
  • New signage for roads, footpaths and cycle paths as well as parking spaces on company and/or private property
    z. E.g. speed limits, stop signs, parking bans
  • Creation of VKZ plans (construction site signage)
  • Implementation of road safety measures
  • Implementation of traffic regulations for private and commercial use
    e.g. signage for parades
    These are to be applied for at the road traffic authority of the city of Jena (Tel. 03641 495101).
  • Production of special signs (information signs) for businesses and private individuals

Barriers

for identifying sources of danger, construction sites and events and securing them

  • Construction site barriers for private and commercial use
  • Securing events, e.g. cycling, triathlons, company runs, rallies
