On June 8, 2023, guest speaker PD Dr. Gottfried Jetschke from the Institute of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Jena will focus on trees and what their growth rings tell us about history.
In an exciting way, he will report on how trees grow, what tree rings tell us about climatic and other environmental conditions and how they contribute to climate reconstruction. Combined with age dating of historical buildings in Jena, many a secret from the construction period will be revealed. You are cordially invited.
