Gardener (m/f/d)

The KSJ is a recognized training center for the profession of gardener in the field of gardening and landscaping (GaLaBau).

As a gardener in gardening and landscaping (GaLaBau), you can do good for the environment and at the same time ensure a better quality of life in the city.
Professional education will teach you how to design gardens and parks and how to plant lawns, trees, bushes, shrubs and flowers professionally. You will create outdoor facilities of all kinds and plant greenery along traffic routes, in pedestrian zones, on roofs or on facades.
Professional education
takes place at the Staatlich Berufsbildende Schule Erfurt.
The practical professional education
is carried out in various areas of Kommunalservice Jena and in inter-company training workshops.
The training period
is 3 years.
Training always begins in the official school and training year.
The final examination
is taken at the Thuringian State Institute for Agriculture.
Prerequisites for this profession are
- Standard school leaving certificate 10th grade
- good to satisfactory grades in biology and German
- technical aptitude and manual skills
- high physical resilience and dexterity
- A love of nature, a flair for plants and creativity
