On August 16 and 17, 2025, the nationally renowned traveling exhibition "150 Years of Cremation in Germany" will be on display in the crematorium at Jena North Cemetery. Interested parties are cordially invited to visit the exhibition free of charge on both days from 9:00 to 16:00.

The exhibition, initiated by the Stiftung Deutsche Bestattungskultur, sheds light on the history and development of cremation in Germany - from its beginnings in the 19th century to modern forms of saying goodbye today. Numerous exhibits, documents and historical background information provide a fascinating insight into a topic that touches many people personally but is rarely discussed in public.

Philipp Stacke and Marko Sander are available on site to answer questions and offer short introductions to the exhibition if interested.

Venue:
Jena Crematorium
Am Nordfriedhof 2
07743 Jena

Note: Parking spaces are available on site.
