Thuringian seal for healthy work

Occupational health management

A company health management system has been in place at the KSJ since 2019. We are also certified with the "Thuringian Seal for Healthy Work" in GOLD. The Healthy Work Network awards certificates to interested companies and public service institutions that voluntarily undergo an audit of their health-promoting measures and can demonstrate a high level of commitment in the areas of employee health and health-promoting working conditions.

Together with partners such as the health insurance companies, we will constantly sharpen the focus on employee health and underpin it with many individual measures. Our goal is to create healthy and motivating working conditions in the long term.

Special VKU Recruitment Award

Winner of special prize for personnel recruitment

The Association of Municipal Enterprises (VKU) has awarded prizes in the Creative Competition 2024 to projects for recruiting staff in waste management and urban cleanliness. The Kommunalservice Jena (KSJ) project, which successfully integrates people with disabilities, was particularly highlighted. The colleagues work in various areas, such as service, gardening, the exchange house 2.0 and electronic waste treatment. They work independently and take on responsibility.

Sabine Jahn from Saale-Betreuungswerk der Lebenshilfe Jena praised the positive working environment for people with disabilities. The VKU's special award recognizes the KSJ's commitment and sends an important signal for inclusion and accessibility in the industry, with the hope of inspiring other municipal service providers.
