Creative urn design - a very special kind of painting course

In this workshop on September 1, 2025 (5-8 p.m.), you are cordially invited to design, paint or inscribe a wooden urn or an ash capsule individually and with your own hands.

The tradition of making artistic urns for oneself or the deceased has existed since ancient times. Even today, relatives can express their connection in their very own way with an urn.

The registration fee is €50 including the ash capsule. This is made of synthetic material.

...A solid wood urn

The registration fee is € 350 including a solid wood urn. This is made of maple wood.

Acrylic paints, various craft materials and drinks will be provided. You are also welcome to bring your own crafting utensils.

If you are interested, please register with us in advance. You can do this in person, in writing or by e-mail: bestattungshaus@jena.de.
This will enable us to prepare the workshop in the best possible way.

The registration is followed by an invitation with an invoice for payment of the respective registration fee with a two-week payment deadline.
If you have to cancel your registration, please inform the funeral home in advance.
