On May 25, 2024, the Paradies in Jena was transformed into a lively meeting place for the environmentally conscious and family friends. The diverse program attracted numerous interested visitors and offered a wide range of activities for families and children as well as information on the environment and sustainability.
A small highlight at the Kommunalservice Jena (KSJ) tent was a book exchange shelf, which was very popular. Here, visitors could hand in books and discover new literary treasures. Creative minds got their money's worth with the handicraft offers on the subject of sustainable handicrafts/design. The display garbage cans for waste separation attracted many curious glances. Here it was clearly demonstrated how important and easy it is to separate waste correctly. This offer was complemented by valuable information about trees and plants and the role of flora and fauna in the Jena city forest.
Jena City Forestry and the Marketing/Sales department presented suitable materials and were on hand to provide visitors with help and advice. With a variety of offers, they ensured that both children and adults could spend an educational and entertaining day in paradise.
