Once again this year, Kommunalservice Jena (KSJ) is supporting the Christmas tree fundraising campaign of Hospiz Jena. The Jena hospice was delighted to receive a donation of 500 euros. In addition, the KSJ transported around 200 Christmas trees from Altenburg to Jena with its container service, making a significant contribution to the success of the campaign, and as a thank you, six festively decorated Christmas trees now adorn our locations: the two recycling centers, the administration buildings at Löbstedter Straße 56 and 68 and at Alter Gaswerk 7a and the Jena funeral home.
Christmas tree donation campaign becomes a tradition
The Jena Hospice's Christmas tree donation campaign has now become a firm tradition. From December 10 to 15, 2024, Christmas trees of various sizes can be purchased for a donation on the grounds of the hospice at Paul-Schneider-Straße 5.
The festive opening will take place on December 15 at 3 p.m. and is part of the "Open Advent Calendar" in Lobeda. Visitors can expect an atmospheric afternoon with:
- freshly baked waffles,
- hot tea or mulled wine,
- Carol singing and
- a cozy campfire.
Together for a good cause
The proceeds from the campaign will go directly to the Jena Hospice, which is committed to supporting seriously ill people. This campaign combines Christmas joy with a valuable social contribution - a wonderful opportunity to do good and experience the Christmas season consciously.
