KSJ switches off the lights

On Friday, 18.09.2023, all lanterns will be switched off all night long in selected streets. Kommunalservice Jena is thus taking part in "Earth Night".

The lights will be switched off at night in the following commercial areas

  • Maua and Landesärztekammer,
  • JenA4 Lobeda South,
  • Göschwitz,
  • Jena21,
  • Unteraue and
  • Isserstedt.

The aim of this campaign is to draw attention to the issue of light pollution and its effects. Because the increasing lighting in many places is disturbing animals and plants.
