Official handover at the KSJ
In addition to the presentation of the new kit, a symbolic cheque was handed over. The handover was made by plant manager Uwe Feige, who emphasized the close and long-standing relationship between the two institutions. Antje Thomas (Head of Vocational Participation), the team itself as well as coaches and support staff were present.
"The partnership with Kommunalservice Jena is of particular importance to us. It offers our employees genuine professional participation and responsibility in various fields of work. The new jersey is more than just sportswear - it is a sign of appreciation and solidarity. Our team stands for cohesion, commitment and the joy of working together," said Antje Thomas.
Plant manager Uwe Feige emphasized: "Our collaboration with Saale-Betreuungswerk has grown over the years and is characterized by mutual respect. Our colleagues do a reliable job in their areas of work every day. That deserves recognition. By sponsoring the soccer team, we not only want to strengthen team spirit, but also make it clear: Inclusion is a matter of course for us. If you work together, you can also celebrate success together - on the pitch and in everyday working life."
The soccer team from Saale-Betreuungswerk der Lebenshilfe Jena will be wearing new jerseys for the first time at the upcoming Southern Thuringia Indoor Football Cup of Rennsteig Werkstätten on March 21 in Neuhaus am Rennweg. Kommunalservice Jena (KSJ) is also supporting the team as a shirt sponsor for the first time.
Established cooperation - in the workplace and in sport
The SBW supports people with support needs on their career path and enables them to find meaningful work in the job market. Workshop employees from SBW Lebenshilfe Jena work independently at KSJ in workplaces integrated into the company - including in service, gardening, sorting electronic waste and plastic film and in Tauschhaus 2.0. There has been reliable cooperation in many areas for years.
With the jersey sponsorship, this partnership now also has a visible sign in the sporting field. The new jerseys shine in bright green. As a thank you for the support, the team presented a specially signed soccer, which will be on display in the foyer of the KSJ in future.
The official presentation of the new kit made it clear that the collaboration between Kommunalservice Jena and Saale-Betreuungswerk der Lebenshilfe Jena is more than just a partnership of convenience. It stands for a long-term, reliable partnership that combines work, responsibility and social commitment - both in everyday life and on the pitch.
