New seal for the crematorium

In February, Jena Crematorium underwent an audit in order to be allowed to bear the "Controlled Crematorium" seal of approval for another 3 years.

Since 2017, the new Jena crematorium has been able to adorn itself with this title throughout.



The seal criteria must be checked every 3 years by an independent testing institute. Simple work processes, occupational health and safety, but also technical requirements for environmental protection as well as maintenance protocols and emission readings are assessed. The handling of deceased persons is also assessed.



Interested parties have the opportunity to make an individual appointment for a tour of the crematorium to gain an insight into the work processes.
