The service was used by almost 50 visitors who brought along broken everyday items such as electrical appliances, clothing, toys or bicycles.
A total of 39 repair attempts were made - 25 of which were successfully completed. Although the fault could be identified in 8 other appliances, the right spare parts were not available for repair. As usual, support was provided free of charge or in return for a voluntary donation.
The Repair Café stands for the responsible use of resources and sustainability in practice. Under the motto "Throw away? No thanks!", volunteers are committed to giving defective items a second chance. Here, craftsmanship, experience and commitment meet the appreciation of visitors - with the aim of avoiding waste and keeping things in circulation for longer.
The project will continue to thrive on participation in the future. Anyone with manual skills or an interest in organization is cordially invited to support the team and become part of this meaningful initiative. Further information and current dates are available at https://jena.reparier-cafe.de.
