This year, Imaginata e. V. is celebrating its 30th anniversary - reason enough for a special week of activities right in the heart of Jena. From June 16 to 22, 2025, the summer Imaginata invites you to the StadtLab at Löbderstraße 6. Every day from 1 p.m., visitors can look forward to a wide range of hands-on activities, exciting experiments and creative activities relating to science, the environment and shaping the future.
On Wednesday, June 18, the day will be all about sustainability, recycling and innovative ideas for the world of tomorrow - under the motto "World & Worlds". The KSJ will be on site with a varied program and, together with Imaginata, will show how new values can be created from apparent waste.
In addition to informative display garbage cans for waste separation, an inviting exchange shelf and a waste vehicle to touch and explore, the focus will be on practical ideas: upcycling ideas, hands-on activities and lots of knowledge about resource conservation, cycles and waste avoidance - understandable and clear for all age groups.
The day will conclude with a lecture at 19:00:
Martin Steglitz from the KSJ will talk about the correct way to handle waste and present the successful concept of the Jenaer Tauschhaus - a living example of how surpluses can be turned into real public welfare projects.
Participation is free of charge and registration is not required.
We look forward to welcoming many interested guests!
