Three trees will have to be felled in the playground area in the 45th calendar week. The felling work will be carried out in compliance with the applicable environmental and nature conservation regulations. The reason for this is the construction of an angular retaining wall, which borders the slope to the new electric charging stations. These are part of the construction project for the fundamental renovation of Sankt-Jakob-Straße.
Several options were examined to avoid the felling. Unfortunately, this cannot be avoided. An inspection of the subsoil revealed several layers of building rubble in the slope, which resulted from the post-war period.
Once the angular retaining wall is in place, the slope will be backfilled and landscaped. Seven new trees will be planted to replace the trees that have been felled.
Thank you for your understanding.
