On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Emily Wolff (current Dornburg Rose Queen) visited the KSJ as the representative of the Dornburg Rose Festival.

The Rose Queen not only welcomed some employees, but also underlined the long-standing cooperation between Kommunalservice Jena and the Dornburg Rose Festival. This partnership, which has existed for many years, has always aimed to combine tradition and sustainability and to work together for a region worth living in.

The Rose Festival in Dornburg is one of the cultural highlights in our region and will take place this year from June 28 to 30, 2024. The festival's program offers a variety of activities and attractions for the whole family. Highlights include:

  • The ceremonial crowning of the new Rose Queen
  • A colorful rose market with regional products
  • Guided tours through the magnificent rose gardens
  • Musical performances and cultural events as well as
  • the traditional rose festival parade

Kommunalservice Jena will take part in the parade on Sunday, June 30, 2024 and present the theme "30 years of SHK" (Saale-Holzland-Kreis) forest and hiking trails. Our contribution to the parade will also emphasize our connection to the region and our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
