January 26 is International Environmental Education Day. To mark the occasion, Kommunalservice Jena is providing information about its sorting videos on the classic waste fractions.
The videos are available at https://ksj.jena.de/abfallarten. You can also accompany Freddy, the mascot of the Science City Jena Baskets, to the recycling center or the exchange house - a real recycling fox.
The films are primarily aimed at children and young people. However, they also offer older people an understandable insight into correct waste separation and waste avoidance. They are particularly suitable for use in school lessons, for example in subject lessons on the topics of waste, recycling, the circular economy and environmental protection.
Further information on environmental education at Kommunalservice Jena can be found at
https://ksj.jena.de/umweltbildung.
There, it is possible to arrange environmental education offers in the waste sector or to experience the municipal forest as part of guided programs. The municipal service also supports waste collection campaigns - requests are welcome.
Our thanks go to the colleagues who make these offers for children and young people possible. Their commitment is the basis of this work.
