Waste Disposal Fees
The waste disposal fees (effective January 1, 2024) for private households consist of:
- a basefee and
- avolume-based fee for the collection of residual waste bins.
Base fee
(for private households only)
The rate for the basic fee is charged semiannually per officially registered person:
- for connection to 60-liter, 120-liter, and 240-liter residual waste bins: 27.85 EUR
- for connection to 660-liter and 1,100-liter residual waste bins: 24.88 EUR
- if home composting is confirmed, the basic fee is: 21.78 EUR
The basic fee is calculated based on the number of people officially registered at the property (with primary or secondary residence) as of the respective reference dates of January 1 and July 1 of the current year.
The base fee includes, among other things, the disposal of:

(for private households)
If it can be proven that all organic waste from private households generated on the property is composted on-site year-round, a reduction in the base fee is available upon request. The requirements for this are that the organic waste is properly and safely processed at the point of generation or in the immediate vicinity, and that suitable areas for spreading the compost and composting facilities are available. You can obtain the application form here.
The reduction in the base fee, upon confirmation of on-site composting, takes effect on the next applicable date and is valid for a limited period of 5 years.
(Note: There will then be a fee for dropping off yard waste at the recycling center.)
Volume-Based Fee for Residual Waste
(Effective January 1, 2024)
The rate for the volume-based fee is determined by the number of residual waste container pickups recorded via the electronic identification system and the size of the container.

Minimum Collection Frequency
For each residual waste container registered on a property, at least two collections per calendar half-year will be billed in accordance with the collection requirement, provided that an insufficient number of actual collections could be recorded for that container.
